Staying Busy

Since nothing is going on with our next adoption - at least not yet, I've been trying to keep myself busy "crafting". I LOVE to try new art projects that I've either seen on Pinterest (or something similar) or something that's been floating around in my head. I never really had time before, or maybe I just never took time, but this past week (up through today), I've started and almost completed 4. 

We went to Hobby Lobby while we were in Columbia last week and I picked up a chalk board that I want to try to put inspirational quotes on and eventually do a "fruit of the Spirit" theme. I've been wanting to try "antiquing" things so I did that to 3 of the projects. The last project is a scrapbook mat, or so I'm calling it. Not really sure what it is, but I kind of like it. :)

I've been obsessed with anchors (and the chevron pattern) as of late, so I've been playing around with that as well (I think it'll be the theme of our little guy's room). I'm also using this experimenting to try and come up with a way to continue to raise money for our adoption and for other families as well. 

Anyway, if you've been putting off a craft project or 2, I encourage you to get it out and make time for it! It's been fun and relaxing and it's a way to bring your family together - Maleeya has been wanting to "help" or do a craft of her own, which is mostly just coloring, but it's cute to watch her. :)
