Down To the Wire

You don't know how much faith you really have, until it's stretched to the limits. Until God asks you to lay it all down and just trust Him.

So we knew our time was running out on raising the money we needed to submit with the contract to proceed with this adoption. But we didn't ever get an exact date. I really thought we had until next week...then we got a phone call this afternoon. We have 24 hours - end of business day tomorrow.

They said she would be placed back on their waiting list if we don't have the $16,000 and if someone else came along that was interested (and had the money), we would lose her. But said if we got the money together and came back, if she was still available, then we could accept the referral again. And the reason for it is so that she doesn't have to sit in the system longer than necessary since she is an older child. Which hopefully means once we get this first payment in, we will have her home soon! (And we'll have a little more than half of what we need already!) :)
