Breaking It Down a Little Bit...

I was finally able to have a conversation with our agency and because there are other people interested in "N" and they want to get the process going for her, we won't be allowed an extended period of time to raise this additional money.

So, please start praying BIG prayers! We NEED an additional $10,000 in 2 weeks! We have about $6,500 and although we've applied for grants, I don't think we'll hear anything from them any time soon (the problem with some of them is that they only distribute the money a few times a year (generally Spring, Summer, Fall type schedule). That means we will need to do some FAST fundraising!

We've have been so blessed to see God do the miracles He has thus far. I mean, really, $5,000(ish) in about 2 weeks?! I KNOW God can help us raise this next amount of money. But we NEED your help! And prayers! (I'm not one of those that thinks money will instantaneously appear in your bank account because you believe it...sometimes I think God calls you to put your faith into action. Although if that money wants to appear in our account, I'm not going to argue!) :)

I truly believe we have a front-row seat to watch God perform an awesome miracle. It's like when the disciples were there to see Jesus feed the 5,000(+). I mean, that was IMPOSSIBLE! All they had was 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish that a boy had brought for his lunch...to feed like a small "stadium" full of people. And they saw Jesus get it done!

I have seen other families raise an insurmountable amount of money in a very short amount of time. One that I vividly recall was $15,000 in 24 hours...yeah, it happened. (Yes, some days I'm glad for the power of the internet!) :)

Here's a way to break it down: $10,000 in 14 days = ~ $715/day. 20 people giving ~ $35/day would = 285 different families total giving that amount. Not crazy. At all.

Or, think of it this way. I have over 600 friends on Facebook (no, not a bragging point...just crazy blessed by the number of friends we've met in this crazy journey of adoption!). If each of them just gave $20 (one time gift), we would more than have that amount!

Or, if just 250 friends gave $20 + told at least 5 friends and those 5 friends just gave $5, we would also have this covered!

It doesn't seem overwhelming if you break it down just a little bit. :)

So, to recap - God + You + Prayers = Us bringing this little girl home! :)
