When God Moves - Part 2

Okay, okay, I'll spill the beans. Eventually. Stay with me. :) Gotta give a little backstory first. :)

Over 6 months ago we started talking about our next adoption. We knew we wanted more kids. After all, we weren't getting any younger. And because we were finally at peace with not having any biological kids, we knew we would be adopting again. And if you've been around the adoption world very long at all, you know the process can be lengthy. We wanted to go back through THOGL, where we adopted our daughter from, but because of some new laws, families wanting a second child from there were pretty much out of luck. At least for the foreseeable future. So that left us at square one - where do we adopt from now? We wanted another private adoption and I wanted a baby boy. Africa had always been on my heart, even before we adopted from Taiwan. But my hubby wasn't ready for that yet. So now what? Through some friends of ours, we heard about an organization operating in the Congo (DRC), which would allow us another private adoption. But that was still Africa. So I began to pray. And slowly, hubby's heart began to come around. But for some reason, he just wasn't ready for a boy.

Several months ago, I found a couple of websites that had waiting children on them. Lots and lots of kiddos. But most of the healthy ones were older. And I wanted another baby. So I put them out of my mind. At least for awhile.
