Jobs...can't live with, can't live without 'em!

Well, as many of you know, I am back to looking for a job. Not where I thought I would be, but I'm trying to trust the Lord with all of it. Recently, I've been looking at getting certified to teach. A school district that I subbed for was searching for a 5th grade teacher after the one they had hired backed out, and so that's why I started thinking about it. After first looking into it, it sounded like it would take about 2 years - probably not something I would do, but my mom found this other website from the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (www.abcte.org), which talks about a way to get certified in as little as a year. Since teachers are always in demand, it won't be a waste of time. And I always said that I would never be a teacher...never, ever, say never. :)

So, I want to take another mission's trip; it's really been on my heart a lot lately. I took one to Japan the summer before starting college and I absolutely loved it. Adam has been on 2 different mission trips - one to France and on to the exact place in Japan I went (he went the summer before me). He really enjoyed them, too. (He's also been on several to Mexico with the church he grew up in.) I got this email the other day from our pastor's wife down in MS, in which she said they were in the initial stages of planning a mission's trip for next summer. I don't know if Adam and I will be able to go on that one, but I would definately love to. And if not that one, then hopefully another one. I also stumbled upon this website for mission trips to Mexico - www.handsandfeetinc.org/. There are 2 different ones they go on, one to northern Mexico and one down to the Yucatan Peninsula. I don't know what we'll end up doing, but I really hope we get to go on one sometime soon. Anyway, just thought I would share.
